Ren receives 2017 Calderon Prize

ICES Professor Kui Ren received the Inverse Problems International Association (IPIA) 2017 Calderon Prize in Hangzhou, China.

The prize is awarded annually at the Applied Inverse Problems Conference where the recipient gives a plenary lecture at the conference. Ren's lecture was entitled "Hybrid inverse problems in nonlinear photoacoustic imaging."

Ren was selected as a researcher under the age of 40 who has made distinguished contributions to the field of inverse problems broadly defined.
