Matthew is a researcher in the Computational Hydraulics Group, working with finite element modeling of hurricanes and storm surge. They did their PhD work in the same field at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and will be defending their dissertation later this year.
Matthew received an M.S. in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics from the Oden Institute in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a B.S. in Computational Engineering and a B.A. in English & Linguistics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2019.
