Jiwon Lee

Biography

Jiwon Lee is a Ph.D. student in the Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, working under the supervision of Prof. Thinh Doan. She received both her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University. Her previous research focused on nonlinear control and fault-tolerant control for fixed-wing VTOL UAVs.

Her current research interests include safety-critical control, learning-based estimation, and autonomous navigation under uncertainty. In particular, she is interested in combining Control Barrier Functions (CBFs) with data-driven modeling and uncertainty propagation for safe robot autonomy.
