Biography
Hyesoo is a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at UT Austin, advised by Prof. Don Siegel. His research uses atomistic simulations—primarily DFT and ab initio MD—to explore the kinetics and thermodynamics of thermochemical energy-storage materials. As a computational materials scientist, he was introduced with the Oden Institute. Before coming to UT, he earned his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea and spent four years in industry at SK hynix.
