Fátima Zago Bridgewater

Biography

Fátima Bridgewater began her career at the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 working as a Program Coordinator in the International Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, a collaboration between UT Austin and México’s National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT). In 2008 she joined the Oden Institute to work in the Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences Center. She has held several positions at the Oden Institute and currently holds the position of Associate Director for Research Administration and HR, part of the Institute leadership team that provides direction and oversight of research administration and human resources.

Bridgewater is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA), and a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). She is a member of the UT Austin Association of Research Administrators (ARA), the Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Bridgewater grew up in central Mexico and moved to Austin in 1998; she is a member of the Austin Rowing Club and has rowed competitively, she enjoys snow skiing, windsurfing, and dancing.
