The Oden Institute offers several programs for undergraduate students to explore the field of computational science and engineering. Through these programs, students have the opportunity to take courses and complete projects in the field and get involved in research with faculty, postdocs, and graduate students at the Oden Institute. These opportunities are intended to be a springboard for students to pursue graduate study in computational science and engineering, with highly qualified students encouraged to apply to the CSEM Program.

The Moncrief Undergraduate Summer Internship Program provides funding for undergraduate students to spend the summer working with Oden Institute faculty, research staff and graduate students on a variety research projects in computational engineering and sciences.
Moncrief Summer Internship
The Undergraduate Certificate Program in Computational Science and Engineering provides junior and senior level students at UT Austin an opportunity for in-depth study and research in computational science and engineering.
Computational Science and Engineering Certificate
The Graham F. Carey Computational Science Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded annually to a UT Austin undergraduate student who shows a demonstrated interest in Computational Science and Engineering.
Carey Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate senior working on research with Oden Institute faculty at the University of Texas at Austin.
Babuška Scholarship
The Oden Institute hosts two 5-year integrated BS/MS programs in coordination with the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. These programs enable UT Austin students majoring in Computer Science or in Computational Engineering to earn their Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics within a five-year period.
