Dr. Tan Bui-Thanh Elected VP of SIAM TX-LA Section 

Congratulations to Dr. Tan Bui-Thanh who has been elected Vice President of the SIAM Texas-Louisiana Section.

Started in 2016, the Texas-Louisiana Section provides mathematicians, working in both industry and academia, with various opportunities for social and promotional networking in the region. The aim is to not only develop a sense of identity for mathematicians but also as a forum for members to share ideas, establish links with peers and serve as a platform for developing education and research collaborations. 

Dr. Bui-Thanh takes up his new position alongside newly elected President, Dr. Beatrice Riviere from Rice University, at the beginning of May.
